St. Benedict Church (Not the Caferteria)
Please RSVP and Review the Documents Below
This past Fall Archbishop Sartain asked the North Seattle Deanery to brainstorm ideas about how we could function with 3 less priests in the next 5-10 years given demands throughout the Archdiocese and work load on current priests. Leadership from all parishes (18) of the deanery gathered in March to discuss demographic information and generate proposals. There were about 130 people in attendance. After consultation with our Core Team and the priests of the Deanery all were encouraged to have their own parish based listening/input session on the information and projections as well. Following those inputs we will compile proposals in the fall of 2016 and present Archbishop with tangible proposals Advent 2016.
We welcome your input, insight and creativity during our St. Benedict Long Range Planning meeting on Weds April 27th from 7-9pm in the church. Deacon Roy and Fr. Bryan Dolejsi will facilitate the discussion although much of the time will involve small group brainstorming, reporting, etc. We encourage you to come to mass at 6:30pm as well that same night if possible.
If you are not able to attend please still review the information for your own knowledge and we will report back to the parish what our discussion brings forth for prayerful consideration.
